How VCI Protection Works
Our VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) packaging is manufactured using advanced polymer technologies and modern extrusion techniques.
When a metal product is wrapped or heat shrunk within VCI film, an airtight environment is created. Within this sealed space, the VCI additives gradually release protective molecules that form an invisible microscopic layer on the metal surface.
This layer prevents corrosion by protecting against moisture, oxygen and other environmental factors.
The protection can remain effective for up to 24 months, and even if the package is opened and resealed, the VCI protection can re-form, making it ideal for products requiring repeated handling during storage or transit.
